Reflection: What this quote means is that he would rather to fail with honor and never know that he cheated than be alive and know that he cheated. For example lets say you cheat on a big test that will determine if you will pass high school or not and you decide to cheat that will stay in your forever and you will stay thinking that the work you did wasn't yours. would you like to live through that?
