Reflection: What this quote means is that you must try harder to be a little better, for example in school, you must try hard to become better in school. Another example is in a sport when you want to be the best in the team you should practice extra time to be a little better.

Medical Illustrator


Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical illustrators are highly skilled artists. They work in the medical field and create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines and educational films. Some medical illustrators prepare that aid in research about or creation of artificial body parts. For examples ears, noses and for patients that are deformed or have undergone some surgeries.


Average Salary: $35,000 - $50,000

Educational Requirements:

Students should take science program in high school and college. In college they should either major in art and minor in science or major science and minor in art. Most of the medical illustrators have master’s degrees in the medical field. Certification as a medical illustrator requires a graduate degree in medical illustration, and a successful completion of a national examination.


Reflection:
I wouldn't like to do this because it’s a nice thing they do that they create noses and ears for people but at the same time scary because what if it comes out wrong and you get blamed for it and you feel bad. I will not enjoy that job.

Reflection:

What this quote means is that if you want to achieve excellence you have to stop slacking off now and make yourself think about achieving. For example if you want to pass the class then you need to focus on the "A" not Anything lower than that.

"Medical Assistant"

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical assistants help physicians and nurse deliverer patient care. They schedule appointments; take blood, pressures, respiration, temperatures; and perform other routine patient pre-examining procedures. Medical assistants work in hospitals, clinics, and private physicians’ offices.

Average Salary: 

$17,000 - $18,000

Educational Requirements:

Students must complete courses in biology physical science, office management, communications and human relations, although medical assistant training programs may accept a GED. Medical assistant is provided by community college. It may take between six months and two years to complete.

Reflection:  Maybe I would like to do this, maybe seems very interesting.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)


Duties and Responsibilities: 

Licensed Practical Nurses work with and under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. They care for injured, handicapped and sick patients. The duties they have to do are taking temperature, blood pressures and pulses. They also give injection, change dressings and help patient’s baths.

Salary:

$16,000 - $23,000


Education: 

High school diploma or GED certificate is not always required, it is encouraged.  State approved training programs are offered by the hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges and private schools.

Reflection: What i think this quote means is that the fact of winning is to make a change to inspire people just like paul bear bryant did, Mr. haymore said that he still inspires people today. For example lets say you make a debate and you want to inspire people to make vote for you, not because you popular or something, but someone who will make a change in your school or something.

Paul ' Bear ' Bryant
He was a college football player and a coach, he couched at the university of alabama football team. In 1982 he held the record for most wins as a head coach in collegiate. Before alabama he coached at the university of maryland, the univerisity of kentucky and texas A&M university.

Industrial Hygienist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Industrial hygienists evaluate health hazards, conduct health risk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation. Many work as part of an industrial or government team, although some have private practices. Industrial hygienist often:
  • ·         Collect samples and perform laboratory analyses.
  • ·         Check worker exposure to radiation, vibrations, and noise.
  • ·         Calibrate equipment
  • ·         Investigate possible health hazards.
  • ·         Conduct Epidemiological research.
  • ·         Instruct employees on injury prevention techniques.

Average Salary: $40,000 - $60,000

Educational Requirements:


Students should take challenging college courses especially on math and science during high school. It requires at least a bachelor’s degree in health and safety, environmental health engineering, or the physical sciences. Many jobs require certification or master’s degree.
