Duties and Responsibilities:
 Monitor Surveillance Technician observed the electrical activity of the heartbeats. It serves cardiac care units of the hospitals. They examine these patterns and provide the results to physicians and nursing staff. They:

·         They Gather and report the heart pattern information on patients
·         They operate monitoring computers that simultaneously display multiple results.
·         Identify heart pattern changes and abnormalities.
·         Clean and maintain equipment battery packs and wiring systems.

Average Salary: $26,000 - $41,000

Educational Requirements:

Students wanting to become monitor surveillance technicians should take math, science, and computer technology courses in high school. By the end if high school you must be enrolled in the vocational schools, community college or hospitals. Programs length varies from three months to two years.
